Entry #4 Capitalism Rhetoric: A Love Story??
Michael Moore's movie, Capitalism: A love story was far from a love story. Now to normal people a love story is happy, they fall in love they fall out of love but in the end the guy gets the girl. But in this love story it is about our country. We have such an utter love for our country that we tend to look over the big problems that we have until the important elections. This film truly made me think that maybe I should pay more attention to who I vote for. This is truly not how I view that day of class would be. This film made me angry because it terrible that we live in a world where it is okay to treat people the way some of these corporations do. Why is that we have people who have no money and can't pay for a house and others that have to much money that they could never spend in ten lifetimes. This film is one that I think more people should watch because the audience in this film is truly everyone. Everyone should know what our government does and what large corporations do to us, US as a whole country. I feel so connected to this movie because my family had to move out of our house to another and because of the bank. It was so sad, that was were I grew up my whole life, and all my memories were there. It was hard but I now know that it is what we basically had to do! We had no choice, we now live in a house that is perfect for us and now I don't see it as a bad thing but I think I was so mad and this movie just hit home so hard. It made me so mad that humans can treat each other so horribly that they can just out a whole family out on the street, only to make more money! The film as a strong impact on me and I hope that it was on others as well. It was funny when it needed to be and serious when it had to be, I truly enjoyed it.
